Identifying the Best Industrial Equipment Supplier

Hello! My name is Tina. I have spent the past 6 months planning a series of blog posts which will explain the steps you can take to identify the best industrial equipment supplier. I was inspired to learn more about this interesting topic by my son, Gavin. Gavin has recently started work in the industrial supply industry. As he still lives at home, we often have long chats about his day when he returns home from work. The articles I have posted on this blog are based on the many conversations I had with Gavin. I hope you enjoy reading them.

3 Ways to Configure Your New Parking Garage Business With Car Elevators

Creating a new parking garage business from the ground up means looking beyond just the number of cars it can hold. You want to create an environment that is not only safe and orderly for the cars being stored, but also safe for the drivers. You want to keep in mind the different issues and concerns of car park garages and make sure you are offering a design that works for everyone. With that in mind, installing car lifts, also known as car elevators, may be the ideal choice. Here are three ways to configure the new parking garage with car elevators to give you the ideal setup for you and your clients.

1. Puzzle Configuration

A puzzle configuration is the most common car elevator design for parking garages. It is used in urban areas where design room and storage room is limited. The puzzle design allows your clients to access their car individually. There are several benefits to this design. They are ideal for old garages or buildings that are being used as parking garages. They also allow you to store six to seven levels of cars depending on the space clearance of the current building.

2. Aisle Configuration

The aisle configuration is a fully automated system. This means that you only need the system to store and retrieve the cars rather than attendants who may valet park the cars in the system for you and the clients. With the system code that is designed for each driver, the driver can retrieve their car in less than two minutes. The cars are stored in up to seven levels and use retrieval arms that move automatically to retrieve the car that matches the code of the driver.

3. Tower Configuration

If your new car parking garage is being built as an attachment or an extension to a pre-existing building, the tower configuration may be ideal for your needs. A tower configuration is built alongside taller commercial buildings. It is designed on columns that are stacked higher but only allow for two to three cars to be stored side by side. The benefit is that the tower configuration can be built up to 20 levels instead of 7 while still holding the same amount of cars than other configurations.

These are just three of the ways you can use car lifts or car elevators to configure your new parking garage business. If you have other ideas in mind, contact your local car lift manufacturer and your building contractor. They can work together to help you come up with the design that works best for you.
